Capullo Greg Comic Art In 2022 Comic Art Community Comic D The wide majority of this book contains greg's current, less traditional digital painted artwork, which in its own right is great. greg's style has definantly evolved into a distinctive and bold one. but i would've definantly liked a more comphrehensive collection of greg's earlier, more comic book oriented artwork. Greg capullo: i was raised on marvel comics. it’s always been where my heart is. yet, it’s been a lifetime since i last worked on any of their books. i’d be happy drawing almost any marvel character. given my history in comics—the books i’ve worked on for other publishers—dark, gritty, bloody wolverine was a no brainer jumping. The art is fantastic, especially the spawn art, which are deadly. the use of blacks and lighting is great. i like the back portion of the book which features more of the comic art drawings, with coloured filled onto the fantastic line art. most of the art here are digital with the last 20 pages on black and white sketches. In 2011, capullo made a significant move to dc comics, where he would undertake the art for the iconic “batman” series as part of dc’s new 52 initiative. collaborating with writer scott snyder, capullo played a pivotal role in one of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful runs on “batman”.
