I wonder if someone can help who has got a global money account. i asked a while ago for the best way to change euros into pounds and was advised that the hsbc global account would be one of the best ways. so i went into branch to ask about it and was told i could have the money paid into the account in euros and because the exchange is live i could watch it and when happy change the money. Hi all i see from old threads on this forum and others, as well as news pieces, that this was an issue for many hsbc customers in the mid 2000s. i'm now the subject of one of these so called 'safeguard' reviews, puportedly to "update my details". it took a long time to get them to stop obfuscating about what they wished to ask me and give me a bit more detail in which time they blocked. Whenever i need to sign on on my computer i have to first open the app on my tablet. that poor woman at hsbc must have wondered who she got her self involved with when i phoned to get online banking set up. it took us about an hour. and i thought it was bad enough waiting on a sms on my phone before i could sign on to my nationwide banking.
