I agree with this. while “pushing leo” has the better outcome gameplay wise, “enduring” and carl’s death just fit into the narrative and into markus’ personal arc better imo (death of the mentor and all that). neither is a bad option bc it can be said markus’ intolerance for injustice is foreshadowed started in the push, and the emotional weight of seeing markus at carl’s. Carl and leo dont even die if you end up pushing him, so i feel like that was the right choice. endure makes more sense to me as part of markus' story for the reasons you listed, but i just ended up preferring push because i'd rather have both carl and leo alive :' (. i viewed endure as a sort of passive resistance. Option 2: push leo – when carl tells you not to fight back, do it anyway. – leo is killed: when you push back, leo will fall into carl’s mechanical lift and crack his head open. again, the police arrive just in time. – police shoot markus: markus is mistaken for the initial aggressor and the police shoot him.
