Solved Shape Layer Via Cut Solved Adobe Community 13052574 Instead you could »shape layer via copy« and then change the path operation of that subpathitem in the vector mask of the original layer. this may seem simple and obvious to you, because you know how it works, but the way you are trying to explain, doesn't make clear what the steps are. I will then resize the shape to exact sizes, then use alt click (windows) on the finished shape in the layer panel to make a selection and use said selection to cut. doing it this way gives you a smoother edge. experiment with it and try different hardness settings.

Solved Shape Layer Via Cut Solved Adobe Community 13052574 The easy solution is to uncheck ‘anti alias’ from the selection tool. however, my recommendation would be to duplicate the full base layer and use a layer mask instead of using layer via cut. if you save your selection you can use it for the layer mask. you can copy the layer mask to the lower base layer and invert it. To do this, you will most often do this one of three ways: 1) select the marquee tool and outline the area of the image you want to copy or cut. 2) go to layer > new > layer via cut copy. 3) click ctrl j. many times, you will find none of these selections work. all options will be greyed out. For the most part ctrl j is copy, while ctrl shift j is cut. this works on either individual layers or selections. you can also drag the layer into the new layer icon in order to create a copy of the layer (doesn't work for selections, though). reply reply somekindapun •. Layers are not available in that mode. you need to click on the advanced tab at the top of the screen: have you activated the layers panel by clicking on the "layers" tool in the bottom right of the window?.

Convert a smart object to a regular layer only if you no longer need to edit the smart object data. transforms, warps, and filters applied to a smart object are no longer editable after the smart object is rasterized. select the smart object, and choose layer > smart objects > rasterize. I need to produce little cardboard cartoon style shapes, printed and cutted from the cardboard itself. nothing complex, something like little fishes, or butterflies or dinosaurs or airplanes and so on. Try the shape builder tool. select the red paths and the yellow trapezoid, choose the shape builder tool, and opt alt drag through the paths you want to get rid of. You could put them on a locked layer and draw with the pen (or pencil) tool on top of them to get new paths. you could work on it in photoshop, but i think svg wants vector.
